Austin — Short and long-term lane, road closures, and detours that may impact drivers along US 183 and adjacent roadways in east Austin.
Below is an overview of the 183 South project’s lane, road, and ramp closures. Work continues along US 183, including bridge construction, roadway installation, sound wall work, utility work.
The Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority is an independent government agency created in 2002 to improve the transportation system in Williamson and Travis counties.
The Mobility Authority is overseen by a seven-member Board of Directors. The Governor appoints the Chairman, and the Travis and Williamson counties Commissioners Courts each appoint three members to serve on the Board.

Short Term
Sunday (8/8) 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., US 183 southbound frontage road will be reduced to one lane from Manor Springdale to MLK Blvd., north to south U-turn will be closed at Loyola.
Sunday (8/8) 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday-Thursday (8/9-8/12) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., the southbound US 183 exit ramp to eastbound SH 71 towards the airport will be closed at US 183. Detour via E. Riverside Dr. U-turn
Monday-Friday (8/9-8/13) 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., South to north U-turn at Patton Ave. will be closed
Monday-Friday (8/9-8/13) 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., South to north U-turn at Patton Ave. will be closed
Monday-Friday (8/9-8/13) 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., US 183 southbound right frontage lane will be closed from US 290 to Manor Springdale Rd.
Monday-Wednesday (8/9-8/11) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., north to south U-turn at Montopolis Dr. will be closed.
Monday (8/9) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday (8/13) at 8 p.m. until Sunday (8/15) at 6 p.m., MLK Blvd. in both directions one lane will be closed, and US 183 southbound left frontage lane will be closed at MLK Blvd.
Monday-Friday (8/9-8/13) 9:00 a.m. to 3 p.m., US 183 in both directions the right frontage lane will be closed from Patton to Montopolis Dr.
Monday-Friday (8/9-8/13) 9:00 a.m. to 3 p.m., US 183 in both directions the right frontage lane will be closed from Interchange Blvd. to Techni Center Dr.

Tuesday (8/10) at 9 a.m. until Thursday (8/12) at 12 p.m., US 183 northbound frontage road will be reduced to one lane from Purple Sage to Manor Springdale Rd. and south to north U-turn will be closed at Manor Springdale Rd.
Wednesday (8/11) at 9 a.m. until Friday (8/13) at 12 p.m., US 183 southbound left frontage lane will be closed at MLK Blvd.
