Austin — Short and long-term lane, road closures, and detours that may impact drivers along US 183 and adjacent roadways in east Austin.
Below is an overview of the 183 South project’s lane, road, and ramp closures. Work continues along US 183, including bridge construction, roadway installation, sound wall work, utility work.
The Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority is an independent government agency created in 2002 to improve the transportation system in Williamson and Travis counties.
The Mobility Authority is overseen by a seven-member Board of Directors. The Governor appoints the Chairman, and the Travis and Williamson counties Commissioners Courts each appoint three members to serve on the Board.

Short Term
Sunday (6/13) 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., Southbound Airport Blvd. will be closed at US 183. Detour via Shady Ln. to 7th St. Detour via Levander Loop to Shady Ln. to Cesar Chavez to southbound US 183.
Monday-Wednesday (6/14-6/16) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., US 183 northbound right mainlane will be closed from MLK Blvd. to Loyola.
Monday-Wednesday (6/14-6/16) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., US 183 northbound right frontage road in both directions will be closed from MLK Blvd. to Manor Springdale Rd.
Monday-Friday (6/14-6/18) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., US 183 southbound left frontage lane will be closed from Montopolis to Patton Ave.
Monday-Tuesday (6/14-6/15) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., US 183 southbound general purpose will be reduced to one lane from US 290 to Loyola and on-ramp will be closed at Dubuque Ln., traffic to travel through signalized intersection at Manor Springdale Rd.
Monday-Wednesday (6/14-6/16) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., US 183 southbound frontage road will be reduced to one lane from Loyola to Techni Center Dr. and by-pass will be closed at MLK Blvd. Traffic to travel through signalized intersection at MLK Blvd. to access US 183
Tuesday (6/15) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., US 183 frontage road in both directions will be reduced to one lane from Hudson St. to Interchange Blvd.
Tuesday (6/15) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., US 183 southbound frontage road will be reduced to one lane from Montopolis to Patton Ave.
Monday-Friday (6/14-6/18) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., US 183 northbound right frontage road will be closed from Eastgate Rd. to Techni Center Dr.
Wednesday-Friday (6/16-6/18) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., North to South U-turn at Manor Springdale Rd. will be closed.
Wednesday-Friday (6/16-6/18) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., US 183 northbound right mainlane will be closed from Loyola to Manor Springdale Rd.
Wednesday-Thursday (6/16-6/17) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., US 183 northbound mainlane at Thompson and the on-ramp at Bolm Rd. will be closed. Detour via Exit to Montopolis to northbound general-purpose.
Wednesday-Thursday (6/16-6/17) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Friday (6/18) 8 p.m. to 10 a.m., US 183 southbound frontage road will be closed at MLK Blvd. and the north to south U-turn will be closed at MLK Blvd. Detour via Tannehill Ln. to Techni Center Dr. to US 183.
Wednesday (6/16) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., US 183 northbound frontage road will be reduced to one lane from MLK Blvd to Loyola, and by-pass will be closed at MLK Blvd. Traffic to travel through signalized intersection at MLK Blvd. to access US 183.

Tuesday (5/18) at 9 a.m. until Monday (6/21) at 3 p.m., US 183 northbound frontage road will be reduced to one lane from Manor Springdale to US 290.
