Austin — Short and long-term lane, road closures, and detours that may impact drivers along US 183 and adjacent roadways in east Austin.
Below is an overview of the 183 South project’s lane, road, and ramp closures. Work continues along US 183, including bridge construction, roadway installation, sound wall work, utility work.
The Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority is an independent government agency created in 2002 to improve the transportation system in Williamson and Travis counties.
The Mobility Authority is overseen by a seven-member Board of Directors. The Governor appoints the Chairman, and the Travis and Williamson counties Commissioners Courts each appoint three members to serve on the Board.

Short Term
Sunday (6/20) 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday-Thursday (6/21-6/24) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., the southbound US 183 exit ramp to eastbound SH 71 towards Austin Airport will be reduced to one lane.
Monday-Wednesday (6/21-6/23) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., US 183 northbound right main lane will be closed from MLK Blvd. to 51st St.
Monday-Friday (6/21-6/25) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., US 183 in both directions the right lane will be closed from Bolm Rd. to Techni Center Dr.
Monday-Wednesday (6/21-6/23) 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Mobile Ops Westbound SH 71 main lane one lane will be closed from Brandt to E. Riverside Dr.
Monday-Wednesday (6/21-6/23) 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Mobile Ops Westbound SH 71 main lane one lane will be closed from Brandt to E. Riverside Dr.
Monday-Wednesday (6/21-6/23) 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Mobile Ops eastbound SH 71 towards Austin Airport one lane will be closed from Brandt to E. Riverside Dr.
Monday-Wednesday (6/21-6/23) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., US 183 southbound left frontage lane will be closed from Montopolis to Patton Ave.
Monday-Friday (6/21-6/25) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Airport/7th/Cesar Chavez ramp to US 183 southbound will be reduced to one lane
Monday-Tuesday (6/21-6/22) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., US 183 southbound frontage road will be reduced to one lane from Hudson St. to Bolm Rd.
Monday-Tuesday (6/21-6/22) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., US 183 southbound frontage road two lanes will be closed from Bolm to Gardner Rd., Interchange Blvd. will be closed at US 183 detour Gardner to Levander Loop to Airport Blvd. to south US 183, and Levander Loop will be closed at Gardener Rd., detour Montopolis Dr. U-turn.
Monday-Tuesday (6/21-6/22) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., US 183 southbound bypass at MLK Blvd. and the frontage road will be reduced to one lane from MLK Blvd. to Techni Center Dr.
Monday-Wednesday (6/21-6/23) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Airport/7th/Cesar Chavez ramp to US 183 southbound will be reduced to one lane.
Tuesday-Friday (6/22-6/25) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., US 183 northbound right main lane will be closed from Smith Rd. to Hudson St.
Tuesday-Wednesday (6/22-6/23) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., US 183 south: ramp to Montopolis will be closed at Gardner Rd. detour Levander Loop to Airport Blvd. to US 183, the exit to Airport/Levander Loop will be closed at Bolm Rd., detour Montopolis U-turn, two lanes will be closed from Bolm to Gardner.

Long Term
Tuesday (5/18) at 9 a.m. until Monday (6/21) at 3 p.m., US 183 northbound frontage road will be reduced to one lane from Manor Springdale to US 290.
