Austin — Short and long-term lane, road closures, and detours that may impact drivers along US 183 and adjacent roadways in east Austin.
Below is an overview of the 183 South project’s lane, road, and ramp closures. Work continues along US 183, including bridge construction, roadway installation, sound wall work, utility work.
The Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority is an independent government agency created in 2002 to improve the transportation system in Williamson and Travis counties.
The Mobility Authority is overseen by a seven-member Board of Directors. The Governor appoints the Chairman, and the Travis and Williamson counties Commissioners Courts each appoint three members to serve on the Board.

Short Term
Friday (6/25) 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-Tuesday (6/28-29) 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Mobile Ops: Northbound US 183 one main lane will be closed from SH 71 to US 290.
Friday (6/25) 8 p.m. until Sunday (6/27) 6 p.m. Southbound US 183 frontage road will be reduced to one lane from Loyola to 51st St.
Friday (6/25) 8 p.m. until Sunday (6/27) at 6 p.m., US 183 northbound frontage road will be reduced to one lane at US 290.
Friday (6/25) 8 p.m. until Sunday (6/27) at 6 p.m., US 183 northbound frontage road will be reduced to one lane from Alleyton Dr. to Hudson St.
Saturday (6/26) 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., South to North U-turn will be closed at Levander Loop, and Levander Loop will be closed at US 183, detour via Airport Blvd. to south US 183 to Montopolis U-turn.
Saturday (6/26) 10 p.m. to 8 a.m., Monday (6/28) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Westbound SH 71 to northbound US 183 will be closed at SH 71. Detour via E. Riverside Dr. U-turn to northbound US 183 cloverleaf.
Friday (6/25) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday-Tuesday (6/28-29) 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Mobile Ops: Eastbound SH 71 main lane from Brandt Dr. to E. Riverside Dr.
Friday (6/25) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday-Tuesday (6/28-29) 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Mobile Ops: Southbound US 183 one main lane will be closed from US 290 to SH 71.
Monday-Tuesday (6/28-29) 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Eastbound SH 71 left frontage lane will be closed from E. Riverside Dr. to US 183.
Monday-Wednesday (6/28-30) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Northbound US 183 right main lane will be closed at SH 71.
Monday-Wednesday (6/28-30) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Northbound US 183 right main lane will be closed from Smith Rd. to Hudson St.

Monday (6/28) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Westbound SH 71 right main lane will be closed at US 183.
Monday-Wednesday (6/28-30) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., US 183 northbound mainlane will be closed at SH 71 and Eastbound SH 71 to northbound US 183 cloverleaf will be closed at US 183. Detour Spirit of Texas U-turn.
Monday-Tuesday (6/28-29) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Access to northbound Airport, westbound 7th, and Cesar Chavez will be reduced to one lane at US 183.
Sun (6/27) 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., Mon-Wed (6/28-6/30) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Thursday (7/1) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., the southbound US 183 exit ramp to eastbound SH 71 towards Austin Airport will be reduced to one lane.
Monday-Wednesday (6/28-6/30) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Thursday (6/1) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., South to North U-turn will be closed at Levander Loop, and Levander Loop will be closed at US 183, detour via Airport Blvd. to south US 183 to Montopolis U-turn.
Tuesday-Wednesday ( 6/29-30) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday (7/1) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Southbound US 183 right frontage lane will be closed from Loyola to 51st St.

Tuesday (5/18) at 9 a.m. until Monday (6/21) at 3 p.m., US 183 northbound frontage road will be reduced to one lane from Manor Springdale to US 290.
