Austin — Short and long-term lane, road closures, and detours that may impact drivers along US 183 and adjacent roadways in east Austin.
Below is an overview of the 183 South project’s lane, road, and ramp closures. Work continues along US 183, including bridge construction, roadway installation, sound wall work, utility work.
The Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority is an independent government agency created in 2002 to improve the transportation system in Williamson and Travis counties.
The Mobility Authority is overseen by a seven-member Board of Directors. The Governor appoints the Chairman, and the Travis and Williamson counties Commissioners Courts each appoint three members to serve on the Board.

Monday-Saturday (11/8-11/13) Monday-Saturday (11/8-11/13) 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Mobile Ops: shoulders on US 183 mainlanes/183 Toll between US 290 and SH 71 in both directions will be closed.
Monday-Thursday (11/8-11/11) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., MLK Blvd in both directions the right lane will be closed at US 183
Monday-Thursday (11/8-11/11) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., north to south U-turn will be closed at MLK Blvd.
Monday-Tuesday (11/8-11/9) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., 183 Toll left lane in both directions will be closed between US 290 and Loyola Lane
Monday-Wednesday (11/8-11/10) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., MLK Blvd in both directions will be reduced to one lane at US 183
Monday-Wednesday (11/8-11/10) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., US 183 general-purpose and 183 Toll in both directions will be reduced to one lane between Loyola and Hudson St.
Tuesday-Friday (11/9-11/12) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., northbound US 183 left general-purpose lane will be closed between Interchange Blvd. and Bolm Rd.
Tuesday-Wednesday (11/9-11/10) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., south to north U-turn at MLK Blvd will be closed
Tuesday-Wednesday (11/9-11/10) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., 183 Toll left lane in both directions will be closed between Loyola Lane and MLK Blvd.
Tuesday-Wednesday (11/9-11/10) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., southbound US 183 left mainlane will be closed between Patton Ave. and E. Riverside Dr.
Wednesday-Friday (11/10-11/12) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., northbound bypass at MLK Blvd. the left lane will be closed.
Wednesday-Thursday (11/10-11/11) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., 183 Toll in both directions the left lane will be closed between MLK Blvd. and Thurgood Ave.
Wednesday-Friday (11/10-11/12) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., 183 Toll in both directions will be reduced to one lane between Hudson St. and Montopolis Dr.
Wednesday-Friday (11/10-11/12) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., US 183 general-purpose and 183 Toll in both directions will be reduced to one lane between Hudson St. and Montopolis Dr.
Thursday-Saturday (11/11-11/13) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., US 183 left mainlane in both directions will be closed between Thurgood Ave. and E. Riverside Dr.
CONTINUOUS CLOSURE: Wednesday, 9/1 at 6 p.m. to Sunday, 12/5 at 6 p.m., Eastbound 7th St. will be closed at US 183. Detour to Airport Blvd. southbound entry ramp via Levander Loop.
