183 South scheduled road construction, closures, detours for week of October 25

Austin — Short and long-term lane, road closures, and detours that may impact drivers along US 183 and adjacent roadways in east Austin.

Below is an overview of the 183 South project’s lane, road, and ramp closures. Work continues along US 183, including bridge construction, roadway installation, sound wall work, utility work.

The Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority is an independent government agency created in 2002 to improve the transportation system in Williamson and Travis counties.

The Mobility Authority is overseen by a seven-member Board of Directors. The Governor appoints the Chairman, and the Travis and Williamson counties Commissioners Courts each appoint three members to serve on the Board.

SHORT TERM

LANE CLOSURE — 10/25/21 to 10/26/21 — SIGN INSTALLATION
Monday-Tuesday (10/25-10/26) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., northbound US 183 left mainlane will be closed at SH 71.

LANE CLOSURE — 10/25/21 to 10/26/21 — SIGN INSTALLATION
Monday-Tuesday (10/25-10/26) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the southbound US 183 to eastbound SH 71 Toll connector right lane will be closed at US 183.

LANE CLOSURE — 110/25/21 to 10/25/21 — DRAINAGE WORK
Monday (10/25) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., northbound US 183 the right mainlane will be closed at MLK Blvd.

LANE CLOSURE — 10/25/21 to 10/29/21 — GUARDRAIL WORK
Monday-Friday (10/25-10/29) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., US 183 in both directions the right general-purpose lane will be closed from Patton Ave. to Montopolis Dr.

LANE CLOSURE — 10/25/21 to 10/29/21 — GUARDRAIL WORK
Monday-Friday (10/25-10/29) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., US 183 in both directions the right general-purpose lane will be closed from Interchange Blvd. to MLK Blvd.

LANE CLOSURE — 10/25/21 to 10/27/21 — PAVING
Monday-Tuesday (10/25-10/26) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., southbound US 183 main lane will be reduced to one lane at Patton Ave.

LANE CLOSURE — 10/25/21 to 10/26/21 — GUARDRAIL WORK
Monday (10/25) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., westbound SH 71 will be reduced to one lane at US 183.

LANE CLOSURE — 10/25/21 to 10/29/21 — ROADWAY STRIPING
Monday-Thursday (10/25-10/28) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Mobile Ops: one lane will be closed on US 183 general-purpose lanes/183 Toll between US 290 and SH 71 in both directions.

LANE CLOSURE — 10/26/21 to 10/26/21 — DRAINAGE WORK
Tuesday (10/26) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., southbound US 183 right mainlane will be closed at MLK Blvd.

LONG TERM

ROAD CLOSURE — 9/17/21 to 10/31/21 — BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION
CONTINUOUS CLOSURE: Wednesday (9/1) 6 p.m. until Sunday (10/31) 6 p.m., Eastbound 7th St. will be closed at US 183. Detour to Airport Blvd. southbound entry ramp via Levander Loop.
