183 South scheduled road construction, closures, detours for week of September 13

Austin — Short and long-term lane, road closures, and detours that may impact drivers along US 183 and adjacent roadways in east Austin.

Below is an overview of the 183 South project’s lane, road, and ramp closures. Work continues along US 183, including bridge construction, roadway installation, sound wall work, utility work.

The Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority is an independent government agency created in 2002 to improve the transportation system in Williamson and Travis counties.

The Mobility Authority is overseen by a seven-member Board of Directors. The Governor appoints the Chairman, and the Travis and Williamson counties Commissioners Courts each appoint three members to serve on the Board.

Short Term

LANE CLOSURE — 9/12/21 to 9/19/21 — ROADWAY STRIPING
Sunday-Saturday (9/12-9/18) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Mobile Ops: US 183 general purpose lanes in both directions one lane will be closed from US 290 to SH 71.

LANE CLOSURE — 9/12/21 to 9/19/21 — ROADWAY STRIPING
Sunday-Saturday (9/12-9/18) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Mobile Ops: US 183 main lanes in both directions one lane will be closed from US 290 to SH 71.

LANE CLOSURE — 9/13/21 to 9/14/21 — BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION
Monday-Tuesday (9/13-9/14) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., US 183 in both directions the left main lane will be closed at Manor Springdale.

LANE CLOSURE — 9/13/21 to 9/17/21 — GUARDRAIL WORK
Monday-Friday (9/13-9/17) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., US 183 in both directions the right general-purpose lane will be closed from Interchange Blvd. to Techni Center Dr.

LANE CLOSURE — 9/13/21 to 9/17/21 — GUARDRAIL WORK
Monday-Friday (9/13-9/17) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., US 183 northbound general-purpose right lane will be closed from Patton to Montopolis Dr.

LANE CLOSURE — 9/14/21 to 9/16/21 — ROADWAY STRIPING
Tuesday-Wednesday (9/14-9/15) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Gardner Rd. will be closed at US 183, and access to Airport Blvd. and US 183 north via Levander Loop will be closed. Detour via US 183 south to U-turn at Montopolis Dr.

ROAD CLOSURE — 9/14/21 to 9/17/21 — ROADWAY STRIPING
Tuesday-Thursday (9/14-9/16) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Levander Loop will be closed at Cesar Chavez and at US 183, detour via Airport Blvd. to south US 183 to Montopolis U-turn.

LANE CLOSURE — 9/16/21 to 9/18/21 — ROADWAY STRIPING
Tuesday (9/14) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., US 183 northbound general-purpose lanes will be reduced to one lane from Montopolis to Bolm Rd.

LANE CLOSURE — 9/16/21 to 9/18/21 — ROADWAY STRIPING
Thursday-Friday (9/16-9/17) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Eastbound 7th St, 1st St., and Cesar Chavez will be closed at US 183. Detour to Airport Blvd.

ROAD CLOSURE — 9/16/21 to 9/18/21 — ROADWAY STRIPING
Thursday-Friday (9/16-9/17) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Southbound Airport Blvd. will be closed at US 183. Detour Levander Loop to 7th St. to connect to southbound US 183.
