2016 TEXAS811 DAMAGE PREVENTION SUMMIT OPENS

Protecting Texas’ vital underground infrastructure is the focus of the 2016 Texas Damage Prevention Summit February 22 – 24 in San Marcos, Texas.  This event is attended by municipalities, utilities, oil and gas pipeline, communications and electric stakeholders and excavators united in the common goal of excavation safety.   
 
500 plus attendees and exhibitors will be part of this three day  workshop and exposition, including the Texas Railroad Commission, OSHA, Atmos Energy, Shell Pipeline, CoServ Electric and Gas, Cox Utility Services and many more.   Sessions this year include:
 
  • The introduction of  Pipeline Response, a joint venture of Texas811, Enertech and the Danielle Smalley Foundation
  • A Utility Locator Training workshop, hosted by the Utility Training Academy
  • Cross bore best practices, hosted by Hydromax USA
  • Drones, the utility industry and your budget, hosted by Cox Utility Services
 
Texas811 President Mike Losawyer says “Attendees will have the opportunity to meet more of our Texas811 staff, and exchange ideas with our Damage Prevention Managers as well as Texas811 management.  And this year, as a first, we’ll also be featuring a Casino Night as well as a live band during both our reception and Casino Night events.”
