2018 Central Texas Medical Center Healthcheck Fast Approaching

HealthCheck is Hays County’s largest health fair and will feature more than 50 booths providing health education and information, as well as many free additional screenings.

SAN MARCOS, TEXAS – The last HealthCheck pre-event blood draw will be held on Friday, March 23rd in Central Texas Medical Center’s Community Classroom from 7:00 – 10:00 a.m.

Attending the pre-event blood draw allows participants to pick up their health screening results when they attend the HealthCheck Expo on Thursday, April 5 at the Embassy Suites Conference Center.

HealthCheck is Hays County’s largest health fair and will feature more than 50 booths providing health education and information, as well as many free additional screenings.

Participants who are not able to attend the pre-event blood draw can have their blood drawn at the HealthCheck event from 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Those results will be mailed out afterward.

Participants receive $500 in valuable health screenings for a low $30 rate. The basic screening panel includes:

  • Complete Metabolic Panel (screening for glucose, renal and liver disorders)
  • Lipid Panel (cholesterol with HDL/LDL breakdown, triglycerides)
  • Complete Blood Cell Count (white blood cell, hemoglobin, hematocrit and platelets)

Several additional screenings are available for a low fee as well, including:

  • Thyroid Stimulating Hormone, or TSH ($15)
  • Hemoglobin A1C ($15)
  • Vitamin D ($15)
  • Hepatitis C ($15)
