2019 Economic Outlook To Provide Regional Insight

San Marcos, Texas  – Greater San Marcos Partnership (GSMP), the economic development organization for Hays and Caldwell Counties, will host the ninth annual Greater San Marcos Economic Outlook luncheon on May 22nd from 11 AM to 1 PM at Embassy Suites Hotel and Conference Center (1001 E. McCarty Lane, San Marcos, TX 78666).

The event will examine the trends, issues, and regional strategies that will impact the future economy of the two-county region.

The program includes a keynote presentation by Sarah House, Director & Senior Economist with Wells Fargo Securities. House covers the U.S. macro economy, including the labor market, inflation trends, and business investment.

House frequently provides economic analysis to The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg News, and National Public Radio. In her keynote, House will share an overview of U.S. and Texas economic trends and provide insight into the region’s economic outlook. Wells Fargo is the title sponsor for the event.

Following the keynote address, a panel of mayors will gather to discuss their approach to addressing the challenges and opportunities for economic growth. Participating mayors include San Marcos Mayor Jane Hughson, Kyle Mayor Travis Mitchell, Lockhart Mayor Lew White, Luling Mayor Mike Hendricks, and Buda Mayor George Haehn.

GSMP Chair of the Board of Directors Patrick Rose, GSMP President Adriana Cruz, and Wells Fargo Senior Vice President of Commercial Banking Services Anna M. Sanchez will also provide remarks.
