SAN MARCOS, TEXAS – On May 25, seven San Marcos High School students were recognized for their outstanding academic accomplishments and dedication to their community by the Central Texas Medical Center (CTMC).

Each student was given $1,000 because of their hard work as well as their career interests.

The CTMC scholarships are awarded to assist these students with university expenses during their first year in college, which include tuition costs, housing costs and course materials. The recipients are:

  • Tony Austin Castillo – San Marcos High School
  • Daniela Martinez – San Marcos High School
  • Clarissa Rodriguez – San Marcos High School
  • Eric Rodriguez – San Marcos High School
  • Erica Rodriguez-Sanchez – San Marcos High School
  • Illiana Serrano – San Marcos High School
  • Allison Yager – San Marcos High School

Each year since 1997, CTMC seeks local high school seniors who demonstrate academic excellence to assist them with college funds.

Area seniors must apply to be considered for the annual scholarship, and applications can be found here. For more information, contact CTMC’s Scholarship Coordinator, Lisa Adams, by email or phone at Lisa.Adams@ahss.org or 512-753-3608.
