A&E Show ‘Live PD’ To Feature San Marcos Burglary From February

Before the robbery, the suspect was seen at a business across the street from Metro PCS and photographed by surveillance cameras.

The A&E documentary series “Live PD” is scheduled to feature an aggravated robbery that San Marcos Police have asked for the public’s help in solving.

The show will feature the Metro PCS robbery from February this year. Viewers will be encouraged to call Crimestoppers at 800-324-8477 if they have tips that can help SMPD solve the crime. It is tentatively set to air Friday, June 8 at 9 p.m.

On Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018, a man robbed the Metro PCS store at 1515 Aquarena Springs Drive around 4:50 p.m. The suspect was disguised in a mask and dreadlock wig and brandished a black handgun during the robbery. He took an undisclosed amount of money.

Before the robbery, the suspect was seen at a business across the street from Metro PCS and photographed by surveillance cameras.

Surveillance cameras also photographed the suspect’s car, a black four-door Hyundai Sonata with black custom wheels.  The suspect is likely responsible for additional armed robberies across the region.

People with information on this case are asked to call Crimestoppers at 800-324-8477.
