Animal Shelter Offering Spay/Neuter Vouchers For Hays Co. Residents

The San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter is offering assistance, in the form of a voucher, to Hays County pet owners for spay and neuter services.

The voucher covers the entire spay and neuter procedure, but recipients are responsible for the cost of pain medication or any other additional procedure the veterinarian deems necessary.

Vouchers will be available through the end of August and there is no limit on the number of vouchers received per pet owner.  The only restriction is that pet owners must be Hays County residents.

The first step in the process is to the visit the San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter at 750 River Road during business hours or email Animal_services_info@sanmarcostx.gov.  Applications are also available on our website at http://www.sanmarcostx.gov/animalservices.

The vouchers are offered through a grant from the Department of State Health Services Zoonosis program, and funded by the sale of pet friendly license plates.
