The East 12th Street Merchants Association began in 2017, through support from the City of Austin’s Economic Development Department Souly Austin program, with the formation of the East 12th Street Business District.

The partnership is highlighted in successes like the production of the Reflection on a Legacy Documentary and the annual Return and Discover Festival. This year, the festival returns with additional support from Clean Cause and Austin Revitalization Authority.

The Return and Discover Festival was initiated by the East 12th Street Merchants Association, with funding provided from the City of Austin Economic Development Department’s Souly Austin program working as a collaborative partner for the last four years.
