The Zumper Austin Metro Area Report analyzed active listings in September 2019 across 7 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The Texas one bedroom median rent was $964 last month.
The Most Expensive
• Austin was the most expensive city with one bedrooms priced at $1,250.
• Cedar Park rent grew 2.7% last month to $1,130 and ranked as the second priciest city.
• Georgetown was third with rent at $1,080.

The Least Expensive
• San Marcos ranked as the most affordable city with one bedrooms priced at $900.
• Round Rock was second with rent at $1,010.
• Leander ranked as third with rent down 1.9% to $1,040.
The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)
• Cedar Park had the fastest growing rent, up 2.7% since this time last year.
• Austin saw rent climb 1.6%, making it the second fastest growing.
• Pflugerville was third with rent growing 1.0%

• Austin had the largest monthly rental growth rate, up 3.3%.
• Cedar Park rent jumped 2.7% last month, making it the second fastest growing.
