Breaking: APD Asks For Community Help In Recent Homicide Case

Deceased:   Brandon D. Grant, Black male (D.O.B. 12/1/1985)
 
On Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 1:14 a.m., Austin Police Officers responded to a shooting/stabbing call in the 7400 block of Johnny Morris Road. Upon arrival, witnesses directed officers to a male lying on the pavement with obvious trauma. Austin/Travis County Emergency Medical Services personnel arrived and attempted lifesaving procedures to no avail. The victim was pronounced deceased at 1:36 a.m.
 
The victim has been identified as Brandon D. Grant. An autopsy was performed by the Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office and the manner of death was ruled homicide.
 
The suspect has not yet been identified and detectives are asking anyone with any information regarding this incident or his whereabouts to call the Homicide Tip Line at 512-477-3588 or Crime Stoppers at 512-472-TIPS or text “Tip 103” + your message to CRIMES.
