APD seeking community’s help with series of robberies and thefts

The Austin Police Department’s (APD) Robbery Unit is requesting help from the communities of Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth, San Antonio, and Houston to identify four suspects involved in numerous “ambush-style” robberies and thefts from electronics and cellphone stores.

These four individuals are working as an organized criminal enterprise.

They are entering stores and tearing display models of phones, tablets, and laptops from their security cords and then running from the store.

The suspects have assaulted multiple people, threatened them, and indicated they are carrying firearms.

The suspects are known to have committed similar offenses in San Antonio and Farmers Branch and are likely responsible for many more offenses that have not yet been linked.

They believe them to still be actively operating within the Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio communities.

  • #4 might be the smartest, but this is still had zero chance of success.

Simple report the theft to the maker. Have Apple, Samsung, etc allow registration. Then find them by the IMEI. Conviction is a done deal. The tats leave no doubt.

    Have a nice stay!
