SAN MARCOS, TX– The Meadows Center for Water and the Environment invite artists to submit their artwork for the upcoming Spring Lake Showcase that will be held from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 9, 2017.
The Spring Lake Art Showcase will be in celebration of The Meadows Center for Water and the Environment’s 15th anniversary, where artists will be able to show the beauty of Spring Lake and The Meadows Center through their art.
“The Meadows Center is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year,” Anna Huff, Communications and Community Relations Specialist, said. “We are commemorating the milestone with an exhibit that highlights local artists’ interpretations of Spring Lake.”
Tickets for the Spring Lake Art Showcase are $10 with online registration and $12 at the door. Your ticket will include a complimentary mimosa bar and brunch bites as we celebrate the beauty of Spring Lake and the history of The Meadows Center by viewing works of art that honor the San Marcos community.
The art shown will have an opportunity to be purchased with proceeds going to the artist and The Meadows Center as they move forward in their efforts to support and sustain the Spring Lake education program.
If you would like to take part in the opportunity to display your art at the showcase, please contact Mirr1743@gmail.com with your portfolio by March 22, 2017. For questions or more information, visit http://events.txstate.edu/recurrences/46146.
