Attempted Kidnapping – FM 2325 and Carney Lane, Wimberley

On March 4, 2015, the Hays County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an attempted kidnapping of an adult female in the parking lot of the Dollar General Store located at FM 2325 and Carney Lane in Wimberley, Texas.
 
The female reported that a white male physically attempted to force her into his vehicle once she had exited the store and was returning to her vehicle. The reported incident occurred at approximately 6:30 pm. The suspect’s vehicle is described as a red Ford Ranger pickup truck. The female was able to free herself from the suspect and report the incident upon returning to her residence in Wimberley.
 
The description of the suspect is as follows:
White Male / Approximately 5’9” to 6’0”
Short “Burr” style haircut/stubble sandy blonde beard Wearing a camouflage shirt/jacket and blue jeans
The victim was unable to provide an approximate age of the suspect.
  
This is an ongoing investigation and at this time is considered to be an isolated occurrence, as we have not received any additional calls of this nature in the Wimberley area.
