AUSTIN, Texas – Starting Nov. 19, the pick-up location for taxis, ride app cars and off-site rental car drop off services at the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport will operate from the ground level of the Rental Car Facility. The relocation of the taxi and ride app pick-up area will reduce airport roadway congestion by approximately 3,700 cars per day at the entries of the Barbara Jordan Terminal.
Air travelers who need a taxi or ride app pick-up services can select the next available taxi or schedule their ride app pick-up from this new location, just beyond the close-in parking garage.
Upon arriving at the ground level of the Rental Car Facility, dedicated taxi lanes are to the immediate left. Three ride app pick-up lanes, color-coded in blue, red and yellow with corresponding numbers 1-4 match the customers selected pick up selection.
Walkways have been established to cross the garage and reach the new pick-up location. Mobility assistance vehicles are available from the garage to the Rental Car Facility.
Directions to reach the new taxi and ride app pick-up area from lower-level baggage claim and upper-level ticketing are below.
Ride app companies that currently serve the Austin airport include Lyft, RideAustin, Uber and Wingz. Taxis currently serving the airport include ATX Co Op, Austin Cab, Lone Star Cab and Yellow Cab.
