• Need To Know Road Closures For US 183 •

• Monday through Thursday (7/9-12) from 8 am to 3 pm, the right turn lane for westbound Manor/Springdale Road and the right lane for the US 183 northbound frontage road will be closed.

• Monday through Tuesday (7/9-10) from 8 pm to 6 am, the on ramp to US 183 southbound from MLK Jr., Blvd will be closed. Drivers will follow a signed detour via Tannehill Lane to TechniCenter Drive to access southbound US 183.

• Thursday (7/5) from 8 pm to 6 am, the exit to northbound Airport Boulevard at US 183 will be closed. Northbound traffic to continue on US 183 and take the signed detour at the Bolm Road exit.

• Continuously beginning Thursday (7/12) from 9 am till Sunday (7/15) at 3 pm, eastbound MLK Jr., Blvd will be reduced to one lane at the intersection over US 183. In addition, the right turn lane of the US 183 southbound frontage road will be closed.

• Thursday (7/12) from 9 am to 3 pm, the US 183 southbound frontage road will be reduced by one lane between US 290 and Manor/Springdale Road.

• Thursday (7/12) from 8 pm to 6 am and Friday (7/13) from 8 pm to 10 am, southbound US 183 at SH 71 will be closed. All southbound traffic will detour by exiting for westbound SH 71, taking the U-turn at E. Riverside Drive, and heading eastbound on SH 71 to the US 183 southbound exit. Expect Delays. If traveling to the airport, plan ahead.

The Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority (CTRMA) is an independent government agency created in 2002 to improve the transportation system in Williamson and Travis counties.
According to their website, their mission is “to implement innovative, multi-modal transportation solutions that reduce congestion and create transportation choices that enhance quality of life and economic vitality.”
The Mobility Authority was created and operates under the Texas Transportation Code Chapter 370 and is authorized under state law to implement a wide range of transportation systems including roadways, airports, seaports and transit services.
The Mobility Authority is authorized to issue revenue bonds to fund projects and can utilize user fees and/or taxes to fund operations and repay bonds.
