Need To Know Road Closures For US 183

•  Sunday (6/10) from 8 pm to 6 am, the US 183 southbound mainlanes will be reduced to one lane between Loyola Lane and MLK Jr., Boulevard.

• Monday through Friday (6/11-15) from 9 am to 4 pm, the US 183 southbound frontage road will be closed by one lane between US 290 and Manor/Springdale Road.

• Monday through Friday (6/11-15) from 8 pm to 6 am, southbound US 183 at SH 71 will be closed. All southbound traffic will detour by exiting for westbound SH 71, taking the u-turn at E. Riverside Drive, and heading eastbound on SH 71 to the US 183 southbound exit. Expect Delays. If traveling to the airport, plan ahead.

• Monday (6/11) from 8 pm to 6 am, the US 183 southbound mainlanes will be reduced by two lanes between Vargas Road and Thompson Lane.

• Tuesday through Friday (6/12-15) from 8 pm to 6 am, the US 183 northbound mainlanes will be reduced to one lane between Bolm Road and Technicenter Drive. 

• Tuesday (6/12) from 8 pm to 6 am, the US 183 southbound to SH 71 eastbound ramp will be closed. All traffic will detour by exiting for westbound SH 71, taking the u-turn at E. Riverside Drive, and heading eastbound on SH 71. Expect Delays. If traveling to the airport, plan ahead.

The Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority (CTRMA) is an independent government agency created in 2002 to improve the transportation system in Williamson and Travis counties.

According to their website, their mission is “to implement innovative, multi-modal transportation solutions that reduce congestion and create transportation choices that enhance quality of life and economic vitality.”

The Mobility Authority was created and operates under the Texas Transportation Code Chapter 370 and is authorized under state law to implement a wide range of transportation systems including roadways, airports, seaports and transit services.

The Mobility Authority is authorized to issue revenue bonds to fund projects and can utilize user fees and/or taxes to fund operations and repay bonds.
