On Tuesday, Nov. 14, Baylor Scott & White hosted the official ribbon cutting for the new primary care clinic in Kyle.
Members of the Kyle community, Kyle chamber of commerce and representatives of Baylor Scott & White were in attendance to mark the occasion.
The Kyle clinic opened and began serving the Hays County community in October. The clinic has 12 patient rooms, a treatment room and an x-ray room. The facility can have up to four doctors.
Katrina Gordon, MD, family medicine practitioner at Baylor Scott & White Clinic – Kyle, said she looks forward to providing comprehensive medical care and preventive care to the whole family.
Baylor Scott & White has a long-standing history of providing quality medical care to residents and families in Central Texas, including four medical centers and more than 20 clinics in Travis and Williamson counties.
Jay Fox, President of Baylor Scott & White for the Austin-RoundRock Region, said Baylor Scott & White’s main goal is to provide primary care for communities throughout Texas. He said the not-for-profit healthcare system chose Kyle because they weren’t serving communities this far south as well as they wanted.
Baylor Scott & White now serves communities in five Central Texas counties: Burnet, Bell, Williamson, Travis and Hays.
“Patients receiving medical care when and where they need it remains at the forefront of our minds as we’re selecting and planning new clinic sites,” said Colleen Sundquist, Regional Vice President, Clinic Operations, Baylor Scott & White – Austin / Round Rock Region. “Kyle is the perfect community for us to introduce our trusted model of quality, convenient care.”
