SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Texas State’s women’s golf continued its round-by-round improvement Tuesday, shaving eight strokes off its second round score to post a final-round 294 at the Maryb S. Kauth Invitational, contested at the par 72, 6,450-yard Briggs Ranch Golf Club.

Overall, Texas State turned in a 54-hole score of 902 (306-302-294) to place 14th. Ninth-ranked Arkansas won the tournament with a 16-under 848 (288-274-285). No. 39 Texas A&M (853, -11) placed second, while No. 23 Tennessee (861, -3) finished third.

Anne-Charlotte Mora moved 11 spots up the leaderboard Tuesday as she turned in a career-best 2-under 70. The sophomore led the Bobcat contingent and tied for 20th with a score of 218 (77-71-70). In the final round Mora, who started on hole 16, was even-par with a bogey and a birdie through nine holes. She started her final nine holes with three pars before a birdie on 10 moved her to 1-under. A par on 11 and bogey on 12 brought her back to even, but back-to-back birdies on 13 and 14 along with a par on 15 led to her collegiate-best 70.

Raksha Phadke tied for 34th overall with a 221 (76-71-74) 54-hole tally. Phadke closed her tournament with a 2-over 74 on Tuesday, making four birdies on the day. The senior totaled 32 pars and nine birdies throughout the three-round event.

Sasikarn Somboonsup shot her best round of the tournament Tuesday, carding an even-par 72. The freshman totaled a 230 with rounds of 76, 82 and 72 to tie for 62nd overall.

Millie Saroha improved five strokes her final time around the course as she shot 78 after a second-round 83. She tied for 70th with a 54-hole score of 238 (77-83-78). Maty Monzingo placed 73rd with a 243 (82-78-83) three-round score.

The tournament concluded the fall 2016 season for the Bobcats. Texas State returns to the links to start its championship season on Feb. 13-14, 2017 as hosts to the annual Texas State Invitational.
