Posted by Staff

Coming off its most dramatic win of the season, the Texas State men’s basketball team looks to make it three wins in a row, when it hosts ULM, Saturday afternoon at 4:30 p.m., at Strahan Coliseum.

Thursday night, Texas State became the first team in Sun Belt Conference history to win back-to-back double overtime games, following D.J. Brown‘s three-point shot at the buzzer, giving the Bobcats a 77-74 win over UALR. With the win, the Bobcats are 9-4 overall and 3-1 in conference. It is the team’s best start in league play since 2003-04, and best start overall since 1997-98.

Last season at ULM, the Bobcats held the Warhawks to 36 points in Monroe, winning 61-36 for the team’s first Sun Belt victory. At the time it was the fewest points the team had allowed since the 1983-84 season.
