Boil Water Advisory Lifted, Results Show No Contamination

The boil water advisory issued on Friday, October 30 to City of San Marcos water customers in the area of Aquarena Springs to Yarrington
Road has been lifted.

Bacteriological test results showed no contamination of the water. Boiling of water is no longer necessary.

The advisory was issued during last weekend’s floods after a water main break at 1-35 and the Blanco River. The water main was repaired. The boil water advisory was issued as a precaution and a requirement of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.

Residents with questions about the advisory should contact the City’s water department at 512-393-8010.
