BREAKING: Arrest made in Hays County for continuous sexual assault of a child

HAYS COUNTY — On Sunday, August 22, 2021, The Hays County Sheriff’s Office received and responded to a report of Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child, a First-Degree Felony offense. During the investigation, a victim identified Andrew Alan Brown DOB: 01/28/1986, as the suspect in the case.

On the evening of August 22, 2021, Hays County Detectives completed interviews and obtained an Arrest Warrant for Brown. Hays County Patrol Deputies were able to take Brown into custody without incident and book him into the Hays County Jail for the offense of Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child, a First-Degree Felony, while detectives executed a Search Warrant for his residence.

On August 23, 2021, Brown was released on a $50,000.00 bond set by Magistrate Daniel Burns. 

This investigation remains open and is ongoing.
