UPDATE: Hays County Sheriff’s Office Seeks Help Locating Missing/Runaway Teen CANCELLED

On January 23, 2018, Tara did not return home after school. Her parents also reported that a handgun was discovered missing from the residence.

UPDATE: The missing runaway juvenile from Kyle has returned home and is back with her family.  The Hays County Sheriff’s Office is cancelling the attempt to locate.

The Hays County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s assistance in locating a missing/runaway female juvenile from the Kyle area identified as:

Tara Yvonne Ritchie – white female 15 years of age 5’5” 145 pounds, Brown Hair/Brown Eyes

Nose piercing, scar on chin, cross tattoo on left ring finger

Clothing: Black Vans athletic shoes, blue jeans

On January 23, 2018, Tara did not return home after school. Her parents also reported that a handgun was discovered missing from the residence.

It is believed that Tara’s last known location was in the Austin area. Tara suffers from depression and anxiety and may be suicidal.
