Police in Mississippi have arrested a third man accused in the murder of Matthew Jacob Rodriguez, Jr. in San Marcos last week.
Adrian Terrell Rose, (11/11/93) was arrested Monday in Jackson, Mississippi in a joint operation involving San Marcos Police, Texas Rangers, the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation and U.S. Marshals.
He awaits extradition to Hays County.
Two other men were arrested Aug. 16 in Round Rock in connection with the murder: brothers Jacob Portier (DOB 5/21/1991) and Jason Portier (DOB 8/3/1992) of Round Rock.
At 2:24 a.m. on August 16 emergency personnel were called to the parking lot of Park North Condos on the 1600 block of Aquarena Springs Drive.
The complainant reported that a person was lying in the parking lot unresponsive.
Police officers and EMS arrived soon after and found a deceased male with a gunshot wound to the chest.
Rodriguez had suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the torso and was declared deceased at the scene by Justice of the Peace Maggie Moreno.
He was transported to the Travis County Medical Examiner’s office for autopsy.
All three suspects face charges of capital murder by terror threat. Bond for Jacob and Jason Portier is set at $750,000.
