BREAKING: San Marcos Police Locate Missing Woman

A San Antonio man has been arrested after his disabled ex-girlfriend was found at his home.
The San Marcos Department with assistance from the San Antonio Police Department located thirty-year-old Melody Renfro (7/15/1985) at the home of her ex-boyfriend Devend Christopher Bell (04/03/1991).  Bell lives in the home with his mother in the 900 block of Stone River Dr. in San Antonio on Thursday.
Renfro, who has been diagnosed with an intellectual disability, had been missing since Aug. 8 around noon.  She was last seen at her job at Taco Bell at San Marcos Prime Outlets.
Melody told her manager she had a family emergency and needed to leave.  No one saw who she left with or whether or not she left in a vehicle.  Melody’s parents, who are her legal guardians, believed there was a possibility she could be with her ex-boyfriend, but all initial attempts to locate her there failed.
Bell and his mother were initially cooperative with the investigation into Renfro’s disappearance, but became uncooperative as the investigation continued.
Thursday evening, Bell was arrested for Interference with the Rights of a Guardian, a state jail felony.   A state jail felony carries a penalty of 180 days to 2 years in state jail and an optional fine not to exceed $10,000.  He was transported to Bexar County jail. Renfro was found unharmed and reunited with her parents.
