Buda accepting applications for Human Services Funding

BUDA, TEXAS — The City of Buda has begun accepting applications for Human Services funding. The deadline to submit grant applications is 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2022.

The City of Buda grants funds for projects and programs that address community needs in the following areas: “arts and culture,” “education and training,” “community development/community service,” “environment,” “health,” “human services,” “recreation” and “animal-related services.”

Grant requests must come from organizations that are tax-exempt (and/or have applied for tax-exempt status) under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

“Grant applications will be screened by a Review Committee and the applicants should be prepared to make presentations to the Buda City Council,” City Clerk Alicia Ramirez said. “I encourage individuals, groups or organizations who are seeking this funding to review the requirements and restrictions thoroughly before submitting a proposal.”

The Human Services Grant application is available on the City of Buda website (https://ci.buda.tx.us/DocumentCenter/View/10025).

Completed applications must be delivered along with five copies, including supplemental information, to the Office of the City Clerk at 405 E. Loop Street, Bldg. 100, Buda, TX 78610.

Questions regarding the application process or other related inquiries may be directed to Ramirez at 512-523-1018 or cityclerk@ci.buda.tx.us.
