Buda Announces Opening Of Green Meadows Splash Pad

The City of Buda announced the opening of the new Green Meadows Splash Pad at Green Meadows Park on April 11. 

The splash pad will be open Mondays thru Sundays from 9 AM to 8 PM unless otherwise noted. 

The splash pad is part of the 2014 Bond Package’s Proposition 5 Park and Trail improvements. Construction on the pad started in 2018. 

The water feature was projected to cost approximately $359,000. 

Splash pad highlights:

· Contains over 19 spray features including: water tunnels, directional spray jets, geysers, side winder, and other large amenities.

· 1,400 Square Feet

· Water is treated with chlorine and also UV in the filtering systems to ensure clean water supply.

· System is only operational when user activated through a push button system. Staff has the control over setting operational hours and features to ensure efficient use of utility costs.

The splash pad was constructed by Vortex, Inc. The restroom and pump station were constructed by the City of Buda Public Works Department.

Operations and maintenance of the splash pad will be done exclusively by the City of Buda Parks and Recreation Department.

The City of Buda will hold an official grand opening ceremony at a later date. The park is located at 2537 Green Meadows Lane.
