Buda City Council Meeting Set For Wednesday

Buda City Council will considering street closures, funding options for water supply infrastructure, a FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant, on-street parking on Rose Street adjacent to 108 Lilly Street….

Buda City Council will be discussing and possible of the following items:

  • The closure of Peach Street between Main Street and Austin Street on Saturday, August 5, 2017 and Saturday, August 26, 2017 to facilitate the following special events of Brooklyn’s Down South Restaurant.

Peach Street Closure – July 5, 2017

Summer Bash August 5, 2017

Wild Turkey Feed -August 26, 2017

  • Funding options for Alliance Regional Water Authority, formerly the Hays Caldwell Public Utility Agency (HCPUA), Phase 1B Pipeline Project for the City of Buda
  • Acceptance of a FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant Program Sub-Award from the Texas Department of Environmental Management. Executing all subsequent grant agreements associated with HMGP Grant concerning a storm water drainage improvement project.
  • Request for permission to install public on-street parking on Rose Street adjacent to 108 Lilly Street, for a proposed development at 108 Lilly Street

The city council will also be receiving staff updates on the following items:

  • stormwater conveyance and pond maintenance.
  • impact of Senate Bill 2 relating to the administration of the ad valorem tax system and other legislative matters.
  • Aquifer Storage and Recovery and Direct Potable Reuse
