Buda Extends Deadline For Board, Commission Applications

The deadline has been extended to May 31, 2020, for citizens interested in applying for the Buda City’s boards and commissions.

The city of Buda City Council is currently accepting completed application forms.

Several of the city’s boards and commissions accept residents living in the Extraterritorial Jurisdiction (ETJ).

The following boards have openings coming up in April 2020:

  • Construction Board of Appeals –  4 Openings (5 city residents; 2 from ETJ)
  • Dupre Local Government Corporation – 3 Openings (3 city residents; 2 from ETJ)
  • Economic Development Corporation – 4 Openings (city residents or Hays County)
  • Historic Preservation Commission – 4 Openings (5 city residents; 2 from ETJ)
  • Library Commission – 3 Openings (5 city residents; 2 from ETJ)
  • Main Street Advisory Board – 5 Openings (3 own/operate business w/in city)
  • Parks & Recreation Commission – 4 Openings (5 city residents; 2 from ETJ
  • Planning & Zoning – 4 Openings  (5 city residents;2 from ETJ)
  • Sustainability  Commission – 4 Openings (5 city residents; 2 from ETJ)
  • Zoning Board of Adjustment – 3 Openings (5 city residents; 2 from ETJ)
  • Senior Task Force on Aging – 3 Openings (city residents or ETJ)
