Buda Main Street Program To Host “Art In The Heart” In Celebration Of Fine Art

The Buda Main Street Program is hosting “Art in the Heart,” a celebration of fine art in Historic Downtown Buda, which will take place on Sunday, Oct. 20, 2019, from 1 PM to 6 PM.

The Buda Main Street Program has partnered with Inspired Minds Art Center, Fine Arts Buda, Assemblage Contemporary Craftsman Gallery and Hays CISD to bring the community together to celebrate local artists in Buda and the surrounding areas.

The event will feature live music, art exhibits, student artist showcases, live demonstrations, classes, and a chalk art contest. The event encourages art enthusiasts to view the full schedule of events on the website www.downtownbudatx.com/art.

Among the activities featured at the event include:

  • City of Buda Basil Anthony Moreau Center featuring Hays CISD student art exhibits
  • The Tavern featuring live graffiti art demonstrations, auction and live music
  • Assemblage Contemporary Craftsman Gallery featuring Bob & Jill Pankey from 1 to 5 PM
  • Inspired Minds Art Center (IMAC) featuring arts & craft vendors and free children’s activities
  • The Cigar Vault featuring artist Steve Ridenour’s downtown replica made from cigar boxes
  • The Carrington featuring student art from Del Valle ISD and artist showcase
  • Chalk art contest near the former library building
  • Drum Circle with Recycled Rhythms at 3:30 PM on Ash St.
  • Little Bluebird artist exhibit
  • Our Roots Run Deep art project by Buda Main Street Program at Ash St.
  • Buda Art Brawl fundraising event for IMAC at Two Wheel Brewing from 5 to 8 PM

Fine Art Buda organizes art shows every First Saturday at the Buda City Hall Lobby and at Nates. Their events take place from 10 AM to 2 PM and offer the community an opportunity to meet local artists and view art.
