Residents can join the City of Buda for the 16th Annual Boo-Da Halloween on Saturday, October 27, from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM.
Attendees will enjoy events from costume and pumpkin decorating contests to a brand new haunted maze. The family-friendly event will be held in the heart of Downtown Buda.
Pumpkin Decorating Contest
Participants can show off their decorating expertise and submit a pumpkin into the Pumpkin Decorating Contest. Judges are accepting all sorts of decorating techniques including painted and carved pumpkins.
The 1st place winner will receive a trophy, and the 2nd and 3rd place winners will receive gift cards. The pumpkin contest judges will be accepting entries and ballots from 4:30 – 6:00 PM at the pumpkin judging table near the gazebo in the Downtown Greenbelt, near the old library.
Participants should drop off their pumpkins at the table. The winners are scheduled to be announced at 6:30 PM at the gazebo.
Costume Contest
Participants of all ages are welcome to put on their best costume and enter Boo-Da Halloween’s Costume Contest. Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 costumes, with the 1st place winner receiving a special prize. Prizes will be awarded for the following categories:
No registration is required. Those interested in participating should make their way over to the gazebo in the Downtown Greenbelt at the designated line up times.
