Buda Releases PEC Power Update

Buda, Texas — As of 10:30 AM, Pedernales Electric Cooperative has restored power to most citizens in Buda and right now there are rolling blackouts.

The City has been in constant contact with PEC and we continue to work closely with them regarding power issues.

According to PEC, service interruptions must continue as long as the regional electric grid operator, ERCOT, is experiencing issues in trying to balance electric generation and peak demand.

See the message below from PEC:

PEC crews are working as safely and quickly as possible to restore power across our service area.

Rest assured we will not rest until all PEC members have power. Report your outage once via SmartHub or by calling 888-883-3379. More info here: https://www.pec.coop/news/2021/why-is-my-power-out/
