Buda Releases Red, White & Buda Parade Information

On Thursday, June 27, the City of Buda released the following information for visitors: 

Bike Decorating for Red, White & Buda Parade 
Does your kiddo need help decorating his/her bike? Join the Buda Public Library on Wednesday, July 3 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. They will have decorations on hand, or you can bring your own. Staff will help decorate bikes for the Red, White & Buda Parade.  

Morning Festivities – July 4, 2019 – Downtown Buda and Buda Greenbelt
8:30 AM – Line-up begins for the Red, White & Buda Parade near the old City Hall at Main and Houston St. 

9:00 AM – Red, White & Buda Parade begins at Main and Houston and then makes its way down Main Street to the Buda Greenbelt. ***No motorized vehicles allowed***

Parade Awards – (After the parade at the Gazebo in the Buda Greenbelt) – Awards will be given for most creative, most patriotic, and best decorated.  

9:00 AM – NOON – Festivities in the Buda Greenbelt – Food, bounce house, and a trackless train.

Evening Festivities – July 4, 2019 – Buda Sportsplex (310 Buda Sportsplex Drive)  
5:00 PM – 10 PM – Food, live entertainment, bounce house, and a trackless train.  

9:30 PM – Enjoy a spectacular 25-minute fireworks show.

Road Closures
Main Street will be closed between China Street and San Antonio Street from 8:45 AM to 9:20 AM.

After the parade, Main Street will be closed between RM 967 and San Antonio Street until approximately 12:15 PM.
