Buda selects new Finance Director

BUDA – The City of Buda recently hired Bianca Redmon as its new Director of Finance. Redmon will begin undertaking the duties of her new role with the City on Monday, Sept. 20, 2021.

“We are excited that Bianca will be joining the Buda team. She is an up-and-coming talent who brings high standards and a new perspective to the City’s financial administrative processes,” Deputy City Manager Micah Grau said.

“I am humbled to join a group of accomplished professionals who have contributed to the success and exponential growth of the City of Buda,” Redmon said, adding, “I am excited to see how I can fit in and best contribute to the team.”

Previously, Redmon served as Chief Financial Officer for the Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District in Round Rock, Texas. Prior to that, she was Chief Financial Officer for the City of Balch Springs, Texas, where she earned the Government Finance Officer Association’s “Distinguished Budget Presentation Award” for the first time for Balch Springs and was awarded the Texas Comptroller’s “Financial Transparency Star.”

Redmon earned her Master of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Dallas Baptist University, and her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Economics as well as her Bachelor of Communications-Broadcasting degree from the University of Texas at Arlington.

The City of Buda is home to nearly 19,000 residents and has earned designations as a “Texas Main Street City,” “Tree City USA,” and “Platinum-Level Scenic City.” Buda is situated along the Interstate 35 corridor, has 14 parks and a historic downtown district where residents and visitors alike can shop, dine, relax, and breathe easy here.
