Can you help these local lovable pets find their forever home?

Staff

SAN MARCOS — The San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter has seen an increase in adoptable pets during the summer season.

On July 23, the San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter announced that it has surpassed its capacity and urged community members to help clear space for newly arriving pets. All adoptable animals will have all of their vaccines, be fixed and microchipped at no additional cost than the adoption fee, which is normally around $97 unless otherwise listed.

Below you will find some of the furry friends that are available for adoption or fostering. Open your heart and your home to a shelter animal and help them find their forever homes!

The San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter is located east of IH 35, at 750 River Road, approximately 1 mile south of Highway 80 in San Marcos, Texas.

All pet adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. To view all animals available for adoption, visit https://sanmarcostx.gov/3259/Adoptable-Animals
