San Marcos Chamber Names February Business Of The Month

The San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce presented the Business of the Month award to La Cima San Marcos on Feb. 7.

La Cima has dedicated approximately 13.5-acres for the site of San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District’s new elementary school, which will be located in the middle of the development. 

The City of San Marcos broke ground on Jan. 17 for the new Fire Station No. 2; La Cima donated property in its commercial district to the city for the relocation of the Fire Station, which will be nearly identical to San Marcos’s Fire Station No. 4. 

The developer has supported several community events including Sights & Sounds of Christmas of San Marcos and the annual Education Foundation Skeet Shoot and has dedicated over 800 acres of parks and open space. 

La Cima, is a master-planned community in San Marcos, Texas, will include a recreation center with an activity room, meeting room, 8-lane junior Olympic swimming pool and family pool, 10-plus miles of hike and bike trails, an elementary school, fire station, community recreation fields and a central park covering 45 acres.
