Charles Vidrine Named As a Finalists for National Achievement Scholarship
The National Achievement® Scholarship Program notified San Marcos High School on January 16, 2015, that SMHS senior Charles Vidrine, one of 1,600 national Semifinalists named in September 2014, has met all requirements to advance to Finalist standing in the competition. All Finalists are now considered for National Achievement Scholarships to be offered in 2015.
SMHS Principal Kelli Lopez and Assistant Principal Debbie Smith met with Vidrine on January 28 to congratulate him and give him his official Certificate of Achievement. Letters also went home to his parents notifying them of his status as a Finalist.
Now in progress is the selection of approximately 800 Achievement Scholarship® winners from the Finalist group. Notification of awards will begin in late February.
