City Of Buda Hires New Water Resources Coordinator

Prior to working in Buda, Neffendorf spent 10 years with the Texas Development Board where he worked in the Groundwater Division as a Program Supervisor.

The City of Buda is pleased to announce Blake Neffendorf as our new Water Resources Coordinator. Neffendorf comes to Buda with over 10 years of experience.

Prior to working in Buda, Neffendorf spent 10 years with the Texas Water Development Board where he worked in the Groundwater Division as a Program Supervisor.

In that role he managed a near real-time network of groundwater wells equipped with instrumentation to track changes in water-levels throughout many of the state’s aquifers. Neffendorf has also worked for the Hays Trinity Groundwater Conservation District.

As Water Resources Coordinator, Neffendorf will lead water conservation programs, the City’s Aquifer Storage Recovery Pilot Study, the Alliance Regional Water Authority Pipeline and Groundwater Importation project, and other water-related projects.

“I am honored to be able to serve the citizens of Buda as their Water Resources Coordinator,” said Neffendorf. “I look forward to working with the citizens, city council, and the many local civic organizations to help ensure the City of Buda is getting the most efficient and reliable use out of their water resources not only today, but in the decades to follow.”

Neffendorf holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography with an emphasis in Earth Science. He also holds a McCombs Business Foundations Certificate.
