City Of Buda To Host 17th Annual Boo-Da Halloween Event

The 17th Annual Boo-Da Halloween is Saturday, Oct. 26, in Downtown Buda from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM.

Festivities include various costume contests, a brand-new haunted maze, and monstrous amounts of candy.

Costume Contest

Throw on your best costume and enter our Costume Contest! Trophies will be awarded to the top three costumes, with the 1st place winner receiving a special prize. Prizes will be awarded for the following categories:

  • Adult Costume (Judging will begin at 5:00 PM)
  • Youth Costume (Judging will begin at 5:30 PM)
  • Group Costume (Judging will begin at 6:00 PM)

There is no registration required. Contestants should make their way over to the gazebo in the Downtown Greenbelt at the designated line up times.

Costume Line Up/Judging Schedule (Times are tentative based on number of entries)

  • 4:55 PM – Adult Line Up
  • 5:00 PM – Judging and Announcement of Adult Winners
  • 5:25 PM – Youth Line up
  • 5:30 PM – Judging and Announcement of Youth Winners
  • 5:55 PM – Group Line up
  • 6:00 PM – Judging and Announcement of Group Winner

Designated Parking Areas

  • Buda Mill & Grain – south parking lot ONLY
  • Old city hall parking lot at 121 Main St.
  • The parking lot adjacent to the old City Hall
  • Former Buda Elementary campus
  • New city hall parking lot located at 405 E. Loop St.
  • Stagecoach Park

Road Closures

Main St., between RM 967 and San Antonio St., will close at 3:00 PM and reopen at 8:00 PM.

The intersection of Main St. and RM 967 will remain OPEN throughout the event.

Detour to RM 967 and 2770    

Take Railroad St. to Houston St.

Take San Antonio St. to San Marcos to RM 967
