City Of Buda To Participate In “Don’t Mess With Texas Trash-Off” 2019

Officials announced Monday, Feb. 4, the City of Buda will participate in the “Don’t Mess with Texas Trash-Off” in 2019. 

Residents are encouraged to gather their family, team or come as an individual and “get ready to help clean up Buda” on Saturday, April 6. The local event will be sponsored by the City of Buda, the Parks Commission and the Sustainability Commission.

The “Don’t Mess with Texas Trash-Off” is part of the Keep Texas Beautiful Trash-Off and the Keep America Beautiful Great American Cleanup.

Volunteers will gather at the Buda Municipal Complex located at 405 Loop Street at 8 AM for a quick breakfast, clean-up assignments and information. Teams will then be sent out to pick up trash along roadways and parks in different areas of the City.

Volunteers can learn more and register to participate at http://ci.buda.tx.us/budatrashoff. The first 50 volunteers to register will receive a volunteer shirt at the event.

Sponsorship opportunities to support the costs of the event are also available. Sponsors will be recognized at the event and their company logo will be added to the event shirt. To become an event sponsor, please contact sfletcher@ci.buda.tx.us or call 512-523-1081.
