City of Kyle Hosts Public Safety Center Groundbreaking

KYLE, TEXAS – The community is invited to join the City of Kyle for the Public Safety Center Groundbreaking on Friday, Sept. 17, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the corner of Kohlers Crossing and Marketplace Avenue (1760 Kohlers Crossing).

The groundbreaking event will provide community members an opportunity to learn more about the features of the Public Safety Center, a facility that will be dedicated to serving the public safety needs of Kyle.

This $37 million project will grant room for the Kyle Police Department to grow over the next 20 years and beyond.

In addition, the facility will provide space for an Emergency Operations Center (EOC). An EOC will establish a central commander center and allow for collaboration with surrounding counties and authorities during critical times.

The Public Safety Center will allow the Police Department to expand its services over time with dedicated space to:  

The Public Safety Center will also provide immediate, temporary space for ancillary public safety functions, including Communications, Information Technology and City Administration, until the Police Department requires the full building.

The groundbreaking will take place on Marketplace Avenue at Kohlers Crossing with parking available on Marketplace Avenue.  

The Public Safety Center has been made possible through partnerships with Bartlett Cocke General Contractors, PGAL, AG|CM.
