City Of San Marcos Continues Resurfacing Projects

Door hangers notifying residents will be distributed 24 hours prior to the resurfacing of each street.

The City of San Marcos will resume work on four residential street resurfacing projects later this week, and residents will be notified to park their vehicles off the street as the work nears their property. The projects were announced in late September but were delayed by weather.

Work starts in the Broadway Street/Sunset Acres neighborhood Oct. 4-12. Work in the Oak Heights, Sunset Hills, and Holland Hills neighborhoods is also slated for Oct. 4-12.

Drivers should watch for heavy equipment and construction workers on the street during the construction times, as well as temporary street closures and detours. Drive slowly, use caution in the work zone and obey traffic control flaggers.

Door hangers notifying residents will be distributed 24 hours prior to the resurfacing of each street. Please park vehicles off the street or they may be towed at owners’ expense.

For more information, contact the City of San Marcos Streets Department at 512.393.8025.
