City Of San Marcos Reminds Residents Applications For Disaster Recovery Funds

The City was awarded $33.79 million of CDBG-DR funds to address the impact of the floods of 2015. The CDBG-DR Housing Program currently has five housing reconstruction projects underway.

he City of San Marcos is still accepting applications for Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery funds for people affected by the 2015 floods and is in the process of reconstructing homes damaged in those historic flooding events.

The City was awarded $33.79 million of CDBG-DR funds to address the impact of the floods of 2015. The CDBG-DR Housing Program currently has five housing reconstruction projects underway.

Applications for participating in the Housing Rehabilitation/Reconstruction Programs will be accepted through Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2018 at the Community Development Block Grant Office, located in the portable building behind the City of San Marcos Municipal Building, 630 E. Hopkins, by 5 p.m.

Applications may be accessed on the www.smtxfloodrecovery.com website or at the Community Development Block Grant Office. 

Applications may be mailed or submitted in person.  If mailing an application, address it to: City of San Marcos, Attention: Stacy Brown, 630 E. Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas, 78666.
