The City of San Marcos Engineering & Capital Improvements Department is seeking input from residents on downtown traffic and parking.
A survey has been posted at www.sanmarcostx.gov/downtown-two-way-survey and will be available until February.
The survey asks residents and visitors how often they travel downtown, their opinions on converting one-way traffic to two-way, their feedback on back-in parking and other questions that will help the City plan projects and improvements downtown.
On Oct. 14, the City Council held a Downtown Parking & One-Way/Two-Way Conversion Workshop. After a staff presentation on the proposed Downtown Parking District, Council requested more outreach regarding parking and one-way two-way conversion.
In addition to the online survey, City staff will contact downtown business owners in person to discuss transportation and parking downtown.
