City Offices Closed For Christmas, New Year’s

City of San Marcos offices will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 24 and 25, for the Christmas holiday, with Thursday and Friday trash and recycling service postponed for a day during both Christmas and New Year’s weeks.

 

City facilities and offices closed on Dec. 24-25 include City Hall, Library, Activity Center, Nature Center, Animal Shelter, Utility Offices, Municipal Court and the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Center.

 

City offices will also be closed on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2015 for New Year’s Day. The Public Library and Activity Center will close early at 6 p.m. on Dec. 31.

 

On Friday, Dec. 26, the City Clerk’s Office, 630 E Hopkins, will be closed in accordance with the state’s Bureau of Vital Statistics closure, and the San Marcos Municipal Court at the Hays County Government Center, 712 S. Stagecoach Trail, will be closed in accordance with the Hays County facility holiday schedule.

 

Texas Disposal Service (TDS) will collect Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday trash and recycling routes as usual and move Thursday and Friday routes until the next day for both Christmas week and New Year’s week.

 

Residents should have containers at the curb by 7 a.m.
